Today while I (Beth) was working out on our elliptical, I watched Sense and Sensibility. I had forgotten how much I absolutely LOVE this movie. So many reasons — but the last scene when Hugh Grant comes back to propose and Elinor erupts into tears is priceless. I cry every single time. And it’s such a clean movie! I love how it was normal in that time period to have a man pursue a woman in a “courtship,” that the understood goal was to pursue marriage, and how purity before marriage was a given. So, bottom line: If you haven’t watched it, watch it. If you’ve already seen it, watch it again! Does anyone else hear me on this? Sigh…

We enjoyed a wonderful week in Louisville with the Croft family, complete with a trip to Western Kentucky for my mom’s family reunion over the weekend. My mom is one of 13 siblings!! She is second to the youngest, and this year all her siblings threw her a big party for her 60th birthday. It was great fun! If you do the math, 13 siblings means many aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins, etc. for me (over 100 people at the reunion). Needless to say, Greg & Kate met A LOT of people for the first time. We have more pics than we could possibly post, but I’ll post some highlights over the next few days.

Kate was a great traveler! She slept like a rock at Grammy’s house, which meant sleeping in for us! She had a blast with her cousins, and never hurt for attention with them around! We continue to thank the Lord for the gift of our family. We are truly blessed. This trip included a professional photo session to get some quality family pictures of the whole Croft crew. Miraculously, we got some incredible family pictures with all 6 grandkids looking happily at the photographer! (no small challenge). I won’t be able to post them since we don’t have rights to the pics (bummer). You can see them in person along our picture wall on our stairway soon! Stay tuned for pics from our brief stopover in Crofton — the little town named after my great-great-Grandpa.
