Call us crazy, but we’ve started sitting Kate on the potty at different times of the day.  Yes, she’s only 15 months, but I think she understands more than one might think.  I was inspired to attempt the whole starting early thing by a book I read.  Kate is somewhat “potty aware” already, so we figure we have nothing to lose by trying to get her used to the idea of going in the potty sooner rather than later — when she has a stronger will and it might be more of a battle.  So far she loooves to sit on her potty.  She gets to read books and is thoroughly entertained.  We’ve been hoping our efforts will produce some “accidental success,” which we hope will eventually turn into real success down the road.  Tonight Kate did her very first pee-pee in the potty!  We were cheering so enthusiastically for her that we practically scared her!  It was hilarious.  Anyway, we can’t post the potty pics (yes, we’ve actually taken some of her sitting there looking so cute), but we wanted to report her first success.  May it be the first of many!
