Confessions of a Bargain Hunter

My Mom and I have been on the hunt for the perfect little reading chair for Kate for her 2nd birthday in May. We both like the ones at Pottery Barn Kids the best, but we’re too cheap to fork out the dough for their chairs. Everything in that store is so adorable — and SO overpriced. Every now and then I’ll take Kate in there and browse the sales while she plays with their kitchen sets that are $1000 (well, maybe not that much, but close!). This past week, I saw the perfect chair. However, it had a couple little spots on it (nothing a little shout can’t fix). Long story short, a few bargaining skills later (originally learned from Mom, of course), I walked away with the chair and slipcover for less than half the original price. Over 50% off. Not too shabby!

Nice work! But I can’t believe Kate is going to be 2. Time marches on:)
