Kate Prays for …

After dinner we have a family tradition of reading the bible and praying for ourselves and others. After reading a short passage of scripture, I (Greg) usually ask Kate who she wants to pray for and she will name family and friends that we’ve prayed for in the past. I will then lead us in prayer for those people Kate mentioned, others we know who need prayer, and applications drawn from the passage. Pretty much every night when I finish the prayer, Kate points out family and friends we left out (but that we’ve prayed for previously). So I then lead us in a second prayer that covers the remainder of the family and friends she knows. So if you’re family or a close friend, you are getting prayed for every night by the Sprauls. Once the bible reading and praying are finished, Kate is excused from the table and can play by herself while we clean up dinner. A couple of times she has continued to say prayers for those that she knows, typically repeating the people and requests that we’ve said at the table; however, on the night this video was taken, Kate expanded her prayer list to include some others.
